John Goodman FIoD - Chairman

John spent 25 years in the timber industry where as a director of a national timber importer he travelled extensively in Russia, Canada and Scandinavia. He then became Chief Executive of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management. Later he formed John H Goodman and Associates working as a sales and marketing consultant and mentor to both SME and corporate clients in the UK and overseas. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors and through his life experience and skills is well qualified to mentor executives of all levels.

Martin Gower - Chief Executive

Martin spent 15 years in CEO/MD positions within 2 FTSE 250 plc’s after running his own sales and marketing consultancy business. Experienced in working in the UK, USA and Europe Martin’s work has embraced a wide range of business sectors. Working in strategic consultancy as well as in coaching and mentoring he has experience at board level in new start-ups, product development, change management, acquisitions and business integration.

Throughout his career he has been wholly committed to building successful teams and developing individual executives to exceptional levels of performance. An outstanding communicator and clear thinker, Martin is amply qualified to work with your senior executives to help develop and hone their skills in leadership, motivation, generating change and strategic thinking.

Jan Whitaker - Associate Director

Jan is a resourceful and self motivated coach, with a wealth of experience in the delivery of insightful, yet engaging, personal skills development through the effective use of coaching, NLP, leading edge materials and occupational psychometrics. She has honed her skills during 14 years experience within a FTSE 100 Human Resources team and has worked with all levels of management through to Senior Management, with Board Director level reporting responsibility.

With her enthusiastic approach to her work Jan uses her deeply intuitive and empathetic style to get to the core of problems very quickly and effectively. A qualified psychometric tester and Neoro-Linguistic Practitioner, Jan is registered with the Bristish Psychological Society and is a member of the Institute of Leadership and Management as well as being a chartered member of CIPD

Bernadette Taylor – Associate Director

Bernie has senior management/board level experience in both blue chip global companies and the public sector. Since 2002, she has been delivering corporate coaching and training programmes and helping entrepreneurs to set up and run new businesses. Bernie is a Master Business Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and a member of the International Coaching Federation.

With her great sense of humour, vision, focus and the capacity to address complex business problems, Bernie is able to work both with individuals and groups to help resolve challenging business problems and to optimise individual performance.

Irene Walters – Associate Director

Irene is a highly committed coach with a motivational, empathetic and positive style. With 17 years experience of working in blue chip global companies, she has acquired a diverse career history.

Over the past seven years, she has focused on coaching individuals and teams at all levels in the business from senior management to new employees. Irene has a real passion for developing people and she acts as a catalyst to help individuals realise their potential and fulfil their goals.
She has excellent business, personal and career coaching skills and a broad range of experience and knowledge in this field.

Irene has a degree in applied chemistry, a diploma in business coaching and is a member of the CIPD and the Institute of Leadership and Management.
